IP Authentication

Subscribing institutions can change the IP addresses used for authenticating access to their IEEE Xplore accounts. To add or remove IP addresses, an authorized representative—typically the person who signed the license agreement—must fill out the IP Amendment Form below.

- be compressed (example: 2001:db8::ff00:42:8329/64)
- have a prefix
- be 32 bit prefix or greater

Please indicate if you would like IEEE to create a new username/password, or if you would like to choose your own username. All passwords will be created by IEEE. Please note:

* Usernames/Passwords must be at least 8 alpha / numeric characters
* Usernames/Passwords should not contain the customer name
* Usernames/Passwords should not contain the name or acronym of an Authorized IEEE Dealer
* Usernames/Passwords should not contain consecutive numbers (123)
* Usernames/Passwords should not contain the year
* Usernames/Passwords should not contain IEEE
* Usernames/Passwords should not contain XPLORE
* Username cannot be the same as Password
* Any Username/Password that does not meet this criterion will be rejected.
